Black Lives Matter and The People’sEconomy
With our business understandably faltering in March, we began offering a $25 half hour pandemic consultation and reduced our Hundred Buck Hour by 50%. In light of the #BLM protests during the summer, we began offering free Black Lives Matter consultations in July. We opened up that free resource to all #BIPOC in September and October. Though the People’sEconomy (not the apparent health of the stock market) continued to falter in the Fall, the high end “white collar” market exploded with activity. Unless we decided to remake ourselves into a non-profit enterprise, we had to start charging something that would make us marginally profitable again.
We therefore temporarily terminated all free and reduced fee services in November and added The Pandemic Special.
We continue to offer our services at a reduced pandemic rate and continue to amplify Black and other #BIPOC voices. Our allies page also features #BIPOC resources for women who understandably would like to share their financial journey with someone who they affiliate with more than SheNegotiates.
